Little bit but I got more experience with time vortex and dimensional cannons.

That's fascinating.

So are you a scientist then, Rose?

[That makes her laugh a little and she shakes her head.] Haven't even gotten my A-levels.

Absorbed the time vortex once for a little while but I don't remember much of it.

Worked with a group that was tryin' to work out travelin' through parallel dimensions. We found a...sort of...a source of the time vortex. I was the only one with a key to it and any experience. Sorta...bullied 'em into lettin' me help build the dimensional cannon. Picked up a lot there.

[Because she had to if she was going to maintain control of the group. They weren't going to salute and take orders from her if they didn't think she knew what she was talking about.]

One does learn a lot from the application of things.

Sorta. More in a...hypothetical sort of way. We didn't have the means to make one. The project I was on sorta focused on time travel and travel between parallel dimensions.

Oh. I see.

Still that's an interesting endeavor to undertake with a team. Parallel dimensions. How long did it take you and your team to succeed?

They'd laid some of the ground work for jumpin' between dimensions before I got there. We had to figger out how to find a crack then how to make a crack. Got easier when we found the time vortex source. From the time I started workin' on it 'til we got the right dimension...eight months. Had to try out several dimensions first and once we got the right dimension, we had to find the right time. That took a year.

That is truly amazing and impressive, I have to say.

Sometimes it's amazing where determination can lead a person.

Yeah, guess it is. I got lucky too. [At least she sort of thinks part of it was luck. Part of it was having the TARDIS to help out.]
